Edgar and his guitarist performed during our wedding ceremony recently. Not only were they professional and accommodating to our specific requests, but they were talked about all night long how great their performance was. We will never forget the special touch they added to our wedding day!

If I could give Edgar more stars I would! He is very professional and a fantastic violin player. We had a small wedding of 70 in an old building. Our decor was old rustic. Everything looked beautiful but Edgar def made the wedding come together with his beautiful songs. He even learned a special piece for me. And it sounded great. So so happy I found Edgar. "Edgar was wonderful to work with. He invited my fiance and I into his home twice to discuss our music choices, and during the visit played us many snipets of songs on his violin so that we could decide which songs we wanted to use for our ceremony. He and his band willingly learned a new song to perform for our first dance, and in our opinion, they outperformed the original musicians when they performed the song at our wedding. Both male and female vocalists work with Edgar, and many of the musicians play multiple instruments, so the sounds are constantly changing, and they're able to accommodate many musical choices. We've worked with a lot of acts for smaller events, but no group has ever been as accommodating as Edgar Gabriel and his array of talented musicians. We have actually hired them for 2 events now, and at each one, they were early, dressed impeccably, self-sufficient, and professional. Edgar is so knowledgeable and experienced in playing for events - he just knows the exact right questions to ask & directions to take. Not to mention, this man knows his music -- he leads a clean, tight, expert band and has a perfect ear for volume. Edgar just played at my daughters wedding a few days ago. He put together a 5 piece band for the reception. Wow! The performance, the sound was nothing short of awesome. Each band member were seasoned professionals. No hobbiests/part timers. Every note from every instrument could be heard crystal clear. Wedding bands are very challenged. They have to play known tunes from a variety of genres and their performance is compared to the original artists performance. All the tunes were excellent arrangements that were as enjoyable to listen to as the original. Being live musicians they can adapt, improvise to make the music even more interesting. A simple observation, the dance floor was filled every minute they played, with the exception of the first dance, mom/daughter dance, etc. Didn't need dancers to coax people into getting out of their seats. Edgar's band did it. And the vocalist....wow! What a set of pipes she had. Don't do a DJ that plays the same thing we listen to on iPhones, get real musicians. Provides a much more interesting , enjoyable and reasonably priced experience. - Arnie C. Skokie, IL  

WOW, if you want to hire a band that has talented musicians who make a party swing, Edgar Gabriel's Stringfusion is the one to hire. They can play all types of music to meet your needs. We hired them to play at our son's wedding reception and they played great cocktail music, dinner music (with Edgar strolling on violin among the dinner tables and also great dance music to top it off. You won't be disappointed and I recommend them highly!

Edgar was a pleasure to work with and very professional. He kept in contact with me in the weeks and days before the wedding and showed up early to introduce himself and get set up the day of. 1. What do you charge? Just like no construction contractor would give a price without looking at the job. I need to have all of the information before I can give an accurate price. This is best done with a phone call, so I can find out what works best for you, how much sound equipment is needed and how many musicians would be best for your event. I know most of the venues in Chicago and know what works best, I often save clients money once I know more about the event. 

2. Do you have a song list? Yes I have many and can send you some, however since we know so many songs and cannot possibly list them all it is best if I find out what music you like and play music in those genres.  

3. Do you do requests? Yes, all the time, most pieces are doable. Just let me know ahead of time. 

4. How do I make payment? 10% deposit with the contact and the balance on the wedding day. Check or cash. Credit card is possible. 

5. What if I don't know what kind of music and ensemble to book? Edgar can provide anything from solo violin to string ensembles, jazz and dance bands. When Edgar has full information about your event, location, your wants and needs, he can suggest the best possible options for live music.
